Wood Destroying Insect Inspection

Wood Destroying Insect Inspection

A Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Inspection is commonly required during a real estate transaction. The most common wood destroying insects found in New Jersey and Pennsylvania are the Eastern Subterranean Termite, Carpenter Ants, Powderpost Beetles, and Carpenter Bees.  The Termite poses the most threat to a home, the structure and its contents.

Termites may be the largest single source of damage to the wood components of a home. It is estimated that termites cause billions of dollars in property damage every year. A termite infestation can silently destroy the wood structure of a home.

Terrapin Inspection LLC will provide written report on a NMPA-33 report form, which is the nationally recognized WDI report form for real estate transactions.  A WDI inspection will provide you with the knowledge to make an informed decision when purchasing a home.
